Guest guest
Hello and All, My husband drove me in for a follow-up incision check with Dr Rand and as we had planned, to check in to see how Beth made out with her surgery yesterday. We met and visited with her husband, Lent. We sat outside of ICU and chatted a bit. Beth is apparently doing quite well. She was out of surgery at about 7:30 last night much like I was. She was assisted to sit up on the edge of the bed a couple of times so far - much better than I was. She was apparently happy to notice that the pain in her foot is gone now. She seems to be as comfortable as one can be after such a huge undertaking . While she was resting comfortably, was able to step out with us for a bite to eat and a change of scenery. We had a nice meal and some enjoyable conversation at a TGIFridays nearby. Beth and I said hello to each other via Chris's cell phone camera. As we said goodbye, we left it openended as to whether Beth would be up for company and I would be up to the trek in at Just 3 months post-op. In any event, I guess all parties concerned are doing well. I guess the joy is in the journey, Robin
