Guest guest
I am new to this group, but have a question. Has anyone else had a problem with dry mouth since surgery? Especially at night? Patty Hi Patty, and welcome to the " Best support " a banded person can have ! If you have a dry mouth at night, I would tend to lean that your not drinking enough during the day ? What's your daily water intake? Dr Billing, 2/10/05 267/247/197.6 ............mini goal 175 1.8CC
Guest guest
I am drinking about 40 oz of water and protein drink a day. That does not count two cups of coffee in the morning. Perhaps it should be more? Patty Re: 10 weeks out I am new to this group, but have a question. Has anyone else had a problem with dry mouth since surgery? Especially at night? Guest guest
It might not be related to surgery -- maybe because it's fall. Everyone in our house has a stuffy or runny nose due to the weather changing. With a stuffy nose you tend to sleep with your mouth open to get air. I know I wake up with a really dry mouth for that reason sometimes. If it's not a stuffy nose, there's also the possibility that with the cooler weather you've kicked the heat on and the air inside your house is just drier. A humidifier can help with that. Guest guest
Patty, Yes!!! I get very dehydrated at night. I just wake up, drink a bunch of water, go back to bed, then have to get back up a couple times to go to the bathroom. But, it's worth it to me. At least I'm not pregnant LOL! I'm only 3 weeks out, but have been thirsty a lot sooner than I used to. But, on the other hand, I did used to drink a lot of Coke, which I actually haven't missed, yeah!! --------------------------------- Music Unlimited - Access over 1 million songs. Try it free. Guest guest
Correcting the spine posteriorally (sp.?) seems to be the current way to go with our spinal revision surgeons. When I talked to Dr. LaGrone in Amarillo in December, he said that he and other doctors had now found that the posterior approach was all that was necessary for a very effective correction. He plans only a posterior approach on my back when he operates in May. I was so excited to hear that! Tyra
