I have Samter's syndrome and have convinced my Doc to let me try

Xolair not only because of my asthma but because I have read some

studies about how well it works for sinusitis and nasal polyps. I

cannot smell or taste and was wondering if anyone knew whether or not

the Xolair would help with this?

Xolair has greatly helped me sinus issues, although haven't ever had

polyps and I don't have Samter's.

Welcome to the group. Good luck with Xolair!

Hi:

I have had nasal polyp operations since the 60's. I've had 13 operations and

haven't been able to smell or taste since then. I have the aspirin/asthma

syndrome. I been on Xolair for one year now I still can't smell or taste and I

have sinusitis too.

I have a similar syndrome. I have used xolair for almost 3 years

now. It helped me get off prednisone, and it eliminated my polyps,

but unfortunately my sense of smell did not return except for the

very strongest odors. I guess it depends how much damage has been

done due to the disease or surgerise. Good luck.
