Guest guest
Hi everyone, For all of you getting your home ready for your post-revision time.... As you all know, the files section, as well as previous posts, have many suggestions on what to have at home for your post-revision recovery. I'm listing a few other things that I found useful that may not have been mentioned. 1) The hospital PT gave me a grabber to take home. I found it useful for helping with dressing myself, but not very good for much else. So I did buy the arcmate grabber (this is mentioned in the Files section). I had the 32 inch which is excellent. I also, ended up buying a smaller one too because it became useful in the kitchen, to use like an " arm extension " . website: http://www.arcmate.com/ezreacherdeluxe.aspx 2) Shower: We did not have a handle bar or any other means of support, so I bought a suction grab bar. There are many out there, and with different qualities. So make sure that someone else tries it many times! (Some other members have used shower chairs.) 3) Shaving legs -- obviously, this is not a must, but just nice to have! Buy an electric shaver with a handle. This one worked for me: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000GTPS7U/ref=oss_product And I bought this long handle to attach the shaver. This allowed me to be able to do it by myself. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001ZF7YN0/ref=oss_product
