About a few days after my first Xolair shot, my never ending allergic dermatitis cleared up, for the first time. I'm talking about patches the size of a silver dollar, that blistered and drained (ugh...I know TMI). I wish my nose would open up, but I have been abusing Afrin for two years. Now I'm paying for the rebound affect and addiction. Down to one spray on in one nostril every day. That is huge for me. I got the flu last week and had to go on pred (damn it!). So I can't figure out if the shot is working for the asthma because the medication is still kicking around in me. Glad somethings working! Guest guest
I used to have terrible allergic dermatitis after working in this one flower bed we have, regardless of how overly dressed and protected I was. Since I started Xolair that hasn't been an issue for me either. Glad yours has cleared up! Guest guest
Fran, The first response I noticed was my clear nasal passages. I actually noticed that on the way home following the first shot. My lungs didn't feel better until after the 3rd shot. Congrats!! tiredofsteroids <sitesee@...> wrote: I had my first Xolair injection 3 weeks ago. My nose is SO clear that it makes me laugh - I can't remember a time in my life when it EVER was so wide open, clear, I can feel the cool air flow through like the wind! Guest guest
my eczema is so much better now that i'm on xolair. anything from being outside to looking hard at my skin would set it off. now that i'm on xolair, i have less eczema flares, and when it does flare, its not nearly as bad. YEAH xolair!!! heather pyle456 <coachmac@...> wrote: I used to have terrible allergic dermatitis after working in this one flower bed we have, regardless of how overly dressed and protected I was. My doctor said that it was NOT the xolair but was due to other medications I had starting for other conditions that I started taking. I looked up all the medications im on online and found one culprit. Doug
