Hi everyone, I am new to the forum but have been reading your messages

for a while and it has been of great help, and also comfort to know

others are going through the same if not worse than me.

Have a question? Had prolapsed L4/5 disc four years ago - had sciatic

pain down leg, and foot started going numb. Had two epidural steroid

injections and after the second one the sciatic pain and numbness went

away (phew!!). Have had ongoing back pain since then. Recently had to

stop work, had new MRI etc and now as well as prolapsed discs have

spinal stenosis, dessicated discs, stenosis and endplates are

deteriorating. Am waiting to see surgeon to see if they can operate

and if so what.

However just lately my left arm and hand have started going numb. Do

you think this could be related. All my back problems are in the

lumbar region (other than scoliosis)so dont know if damage to the

nerves there would affect my arm??

Look forward to any thoughts.

Barb
