Guest guest
, I think Dr. S. must have something against prednisone. I mean, it is an EVIL CANDY, but it is also a NECESSARY evil sometimes! He told me that the only reason the prednisone was helping my symptoms was because it was causing a false sense of euphoria! He wasn't even my prescribing doctor, and he tried to force me to taper off 60 mg (which I had been on for several months) in FIVE DAYS! I think that might have killed me! He also seems to be on a constant power trip, as evidenced by the fact that he didn't want you to see a pulmonologist. When I was in the hospital, I had four of my doctors seeing me there (internist, GI, ENT, allergist). He tried to take complete control of my care even though I had only seen him once before. That's when he said he wanted to have me analyzed for panic disorder. I'm so glad that I convinced my other doctors not to listen to him, otherwise I would still be having breathing attacks because the extra skin flap would still be in my throat! I will admit that he seems to be highly intelligent, and is probably a good doctor in many situations...just not mine! I'm glad he was smart enough to recommend Xolair for you. So, how long do you spend in the office when you get your Xolair shots? Do you wait in the exam room after the shot, or out in the waiting room? Thanks!
