Although Xolair has helped my overall quality of life, I am still on all my

Meds. I have not

been back in the hospital since April, that is a good thing. My Dr has " retired

me from

work " fearing more hospitalizations so I'm going through that insane process. I

have

recently had to use my rescue inhaler way to much. My Dr increased my Prednisone

to 20

mg (I am extremely sensitive to the adverse reactions so this is a catch 22).

1. My legs muscles have become extremely weak, which is of course a side effect

of

Prednisone. I have been unable to locate an explanation and " term " for this but

i remember

the group talking about it, I think someone even spent time in a wheel chair,

any

information will be appreciated.

2. I have been on Prednisone for over a couple of years and I do not recall my

Dr telling me

when I should take it (My wife says I'm brain dead anyway, or was that an air

head). All the

internet " stuff " says to take it in the morning to mimic your adrenal gland. I

take 7

different Asthma drugs so I was trying the half in the morning, half at night

spread them

out thing. Maybe I'm causing my own problems! Any information will be

appreciated.

For the new people to the forum with pre-Xolair concerns, the concerns are valid

when

ever we take a new drug and I looked for all the information I could get, but

even with

Xoliar not helping me " as much " as some, it has increased my well being

tremendously, I

have had no side effects (My wife assures me that since I am a man, I have been

an airhead

all my life, it is not a side effect!), and I would not stop taking it for

anything. Sometimes a

little help is a lot! When I question if Xolair is helping, My wife reminds me

of what it was

like pre-Xolair, oh ya, Duh!
