Guest guest
Welcome back Kymm, A size 6 from a 12? wow! That's is just wonderful! The exercise Liz does for the butt is the pelvic tilt while laying on the floor and really concentrating on tightening the buttocks. I do that, and I also do it standing or sitting just with the breath. When you are in the holding and really sucking in all your guts so to speak, concentrate on tightening and bringing up you buttocks muscles. I always get sore from this and it has lifted my butt quite a bit. I have a " bubble butt " so this keeps it up and firm and keeps it from sagging. Have a good day, You are an inspriation!! TTYL, luv, It's been a while > > > > >Hello everyone! Gosh, it's been quite a while since I've been online at all, much less read my mail. I started out at a 12, so this is really wonderful. I have a question for anyone that might be able to help though. I would like to know if anyone has any tips on how to thin out the upper arm, not bulk it up, and also, how do I give my rear end a little lift and more ample. Guest guest
Kymm, You know, I had to chuckle to myself when you said, " it's good to get back in shape " . My year long hiatus was spent doing MANY forms of traditional exercises (weights, stepping, adv. aerobics, etc.) while giving up LL totally. Ironically, a year ago when I quit breathing, I thought in a year of doing all the traditional stuff I would look and feel better than ever. On the contrary!!! My joints were pounded, my muscles were always sore and I felt so lethargic. I didn't sleep well, my skin was breaking out after years of being so clear. To top it all of, I no longer could wear 6's and 8's (lower body) and grew to tight 10's or 12's. My pear shape got very exaggerated and muscular and the cellulite returned on my thighs!!! :-( All this and I was working out 5-6 days a week for at least an hour!!!! Well, within the last 10 days of LL'ing, everything has turned around. I sleep like a baby, my muscles are leaning out and debulking and I'm feeling smaller. My legs are almost cellulite free. In a couple of days I will try on some clothes to see how they fit. I don't doubt they will fit much better. God bless Rashelle and Lifelift!! Guest guest
Thanks Liz, I'll give them a try! Kymm It's been a while Hi Kymm, Welcome back!!!!! Wow!!!!! From a size " 12 " to a " 6 " , that's wonderful!!!!!! I'm so proud of you!!!!!:-) My bottom is one of the 1st areas of my body that changed from breathing. I do an exercise that I call Buttups. They work great for tightening and lifting the butt. Here's how to do the Buttups- (Bridge) ........... You lay on your back, knees bent and feet flat on the floor or flexed. Flexed is a little harder. Blow through the golden straw, take in your deep belly breath and hold it for a few counts. Pah it out, hold your breath and lift your butt and lower back up off the floor and hold for as long as you can. I've been doing this but instead of holding the position I do small pulses, they're almost internal movements: butt up, butt down, butt up etc. as many times as you can while holding your breath. This really works the butt and with the pulses it works the belly as well. Pelvic Tilts is another good one for the rear. If you don't know how to this one let me know and I'll try to explain it. I can't help you with the arm ques. because my arms are pretty bulky because I used to work out with weights. Sometimes I have to buy a bigger size because of them. Have a wonderful Friday!!!!! Love, Liz ------ Hello everyone! Gosh, it's been quite a while since I've been online at all, much less read my mail. Lots been going on, a lot of great results I've been reading. Guest guest
Tonia, That's great! I know what you mean about the cellulite and muscular bulkiness creeping on. I find that stretches really are better than all of those really hard to do exercises. Guest guest
Hi Kymm, We are so happy to hear such great news from you. How wonderful that you have been able to go from a size 12 to a size 6 doing Life Lift. I am so excited for you. When trying to keep your muscles sleek, slim and toned, rather than bulked up, stay with positions that stretch your muscles. Don't do any weight lifting. My favorites are the ones where you pull your arms straight up over your head, bend your elbows and grab each elbow with the opposite hand. Push your arms back as far as you can comfortably. Hold this position while you do your Life Lift breaths. Another excellent one is to hold your arms in front of you in the same way. Right in front of your chest. Grabbing each elbow with the oposite hand squeeze your arms together. It is as if you are pushing your arms together with your hands. For your rear end, the butt ups as Liz calls them seem to be the very best I have found. The pelvic tilt is used. Instead of staying in one place you make little pulsing motions, squeezing your muscles of your rear end, over and over. I also love the standing pelvic tilt. It is still my favorite. Take good care and again, congratulations on your great results! Rashelle I'm so glad to report through eating less and breathing more I've finally gotten to my goal size of a 6. I started out at a 12, so this is really wonderful. I have a question for anyone that might be able to help though. Guest guest
Ok Tonia, Thanks for your wonderful message. You sure made my day! This message is certainly going into the file with the most inspirational messages. This is totally terrific! You probably don't even realize that we are having a contest for the most inspirational message to come through the lists. Yours will certainly be entered. You have said it all here. I have seen so many women who do traditional exercise faithfully for months and sometimes years with little or no results. Often you will see their thighs and hips riddled with cellulite from the lactic acid build up that comes from putting too much stress on our bodies. Then the wonder happens when they start doing Life Lift and see inches fall off in such a short time and the cellulite(trapped toxins) starts to smooth out. I am so happy for you and I am so happy to see you back doing Life Lift. God bless you too! Rashelle Be sure to check out all of the great specials available on my web sites. Guest guest
elr: i have a doctor friend who is into homeopathy. he excitedly called me recently to say that HIS doctor friend who is also into homeopathy had a success story with one of his patients with HCV, using only supplements. the cocktail is this: Alpha Lipoic Acid 600mg 2xday Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) 30mg 3xday Milk Thistle 300mg 3xday Selenium 200mg 2xday B Complex 1xday (taken with a lactobacylus drink) Vit C 500mg 2xday Vit E 400iu 2xday that success patient reportedly had a good antibody count to begin with and they reportedly monitored that to rise over the months until the guy (gal?) registered as undetected at the end of one year. don't take my word for it since this information is anecdotal (even if from a doctor). but even then, i'm starting with this as soon as i can get my hands on the first three, which are not readily available here in the philippines =) . ===== jjcoers writes: I've taken a vacation from my HCV for the past couple of years. I was a non-responder to three different treatments, the last being the combo. What I'm wondering is are there others out there that have not reponded to other treatment that are having success with the Peg? I am in good shape really - low viral load and good liver results, so I figure I'm not in a huge rush and can wait til something non- interferon comes in play. What's new out there on the fast track? BTW, my hair got thicker and my eyelashes were unbelievable. But I have short hair, so who knows? ________________________________________________ ¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥« ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Live your life so you won't be ashamed to leave your family parrot with the town gossip ________________________________________________ ¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥« ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

Guest guest
Hi , If it were me and I had ANY second doubts, I would scurry to another doctor quick. I'd suggest a Rheumatologist right off the bat and if you don't have one in your area and don't know of one, why don't you head for the Mayo Clinic? That's where I went when no one knew what to do with me (that was including two Rheumatologists) and I was diagnosed right then and there and started a more aggressive treatment. My doctor was Dr. Mason and Tricia, from Wisconsin, also went there and was seen by him. Why don't you give that some thought and ask your PCP what she thinks. You certainly do not want to get sicker and have to worry about your little one. I'm sure your PCP would be more than happy to refer you to the Clinic. Luckily, my Rheumatoloigist here, went to school with one of the doctors there and got me in very quickly....like maybe a few days. It's a great place and I don't think anyone there would misdiagnose you. I hope you have insurance because it was quite expensive if I remember correctly and if not, maybe they have an easy payment plan or even a special fund for those without any insurance.. Pittsburgh isn't too far away. Good luck and keep us posted on what you decide to do. Ca. Carmen
Guest guest
(((((((((((((((((((((())))))))))))))))))))))) So sorry to hear that the sed rate is high and you aren't feeling well at this time. A second opinion is always a good idea, especially if you feel like you'd like to have one, and then don't do it...you would keep wondering... I would suggest a trip to The Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, as there are at least two Rhuematologists there who are very interested in AOSD. Carmen was diagnosed correctly there, and I am currently seeing a rhuemy there, although I *knew* I had AOSD. I am very pleased with the whole aspect of this Clinic. Everyone is always very polite and I am treated kindly and with respect. You will probably be given some suggestions of great doctor's to see that are closer to your home from some of the other "dragon slayers." Do you have a Rhuematologist at this time? If not, that might be a good place to start. I forgot if you are taking any meds for the Stills, and if so what are you on? You do need to get on some meds that help you feel better soon so that you can get back to enjoying being a "mom!" We await the happy news from you that you are feeling good, and you are happy! Please feel free to "talk" with us anytime, that is what we are here for. Here's hoping you will feel better real soon. Hon, I know you are scared of getting really sick again, but..perhaps if there is a flare coming on, (or just knowing it's a possibility) you can get on the right meds to stop it before it gets bad. from Wisconsin, Tricia -- It's been a while Hello everyone: It has been a while since I actually wrote anything. And it seems that I only write when I am at wits end and I am so sorry about that. I will try to do better!! Why is it that every time I think I am starting to feel a little better my world comes crashing down. I have had what we thought was a cold since the end of January. I am on my 3rd dose of antibodics and I went to my PCP today. She is wonderful!! But, the conclusion she has come up with isn't... My sed rate is up higher than it has ever been. And she doesn't think this is a cold at all. She thinks that this is how a flare up is going to come on. I am really scared I don't want to get as sick as I was before. I want to enjoy being a mom. I want to be happy. I am thinking of going (anywhere) for a second opinion or even just a suggestion of what could be done to make me feel better. If anyone knows where I could go please let me know!! Thank you for listening from Pittsburgh JFergelec@...

Guest guest
Hi Evel, How nice to hear from you again! Thanks for the great update and it sounds as if your 3G is doing the job well. I think we all notice a drop in sound for a day or two after being in noise - like your rock concert - so see if you notice that it comes back. Will your brother get the N24 too? Congratulations on the public speaking. I have a feeling that this is the first of many opportunities for you to do this. The CI gives us so much confidence along with excitement over the restoration of hearing that we become very good advocates. Boy have you come a long ways from those posts full of fear and doubt. <smile> Have fun at the big picnic in Buffalo - I should go visit my son so I could attend - and be sure to tell us all about it. Alice Hi everyone! I have been REALLY busy lately.. My new job is going great, lots of new challenges and i love it.. The CI is still working great, but I just had a slight shift after attending a wedding with loud music, and then a rock concert. I will just need a slight tweak.. I hit another milestone last night that i credit 100% to my CI. I attended a CI group meeting in Rochester NY and they wanted people to share the experience with their CI. You had to go up front and use a microphone due to a few people with hearing aids that were having a hard time hearing. I have never been able to speak in front of anyone for fear that they would ask a question and I could not hear them.. I felt great up there sharing my experience with the group.. My wife also spoke. One guy was named Vern is getting a CI Aug. 4th. My brother Jeff is going for his surgery Aug. 16th. After talking with Vern we learned that Jeff turned down Aug. 4th in favor of Aug. 16th so Vern got his date. Vern had to get a second opinion before his insurance would approve as he was actually scheduled for surgery in June so he was happy to get the Aug. 4th date. He also retired from Kodak where Jeff and i both work :-) I will try to write more soon. Headed to the BIG (Buffalo Implant Group) picnic on Sunday. If anyone here lives in the WNY area and wants to come i will send you info.
Guest guest
just out of curiosity and because i know very little about what's what with an ear .... why would a small perforation in ann ear drum prevent getting implanted in that ear? with a CI the ear drum isn't used right? is it because of infection and the implant? just asking susan
Guest guest
Alice, I did not have a drop in sound.. Just the opposite, a big increase in low and mid sounds.. I am turned way down to tolerate it.. Just a quick balancing of the tones should get me back on track.. I had about 2 maps since hook up. Brain did not like any others so i have just been balancing the tones when they shift.. Yes my brother is getting the N24 and doing his better ear as his worse ear has a small perferation in the ear drum.. Cheers, Evel > Hi Evel, > > How nice to hear from you again! Guest guest
Danni honey I'm with you on the chemo therapy stuff, aproaching 6 weeks myself but on self injections once a week (yuk). My prednisone had to be increased but the pain is still previlant. However, I'm very worried about you! Is there anything I can do to help you? Do you anything at all? I feel for you honey and I hate you're in so much pain. I find you amazing, by the way. Through all you're enduring you still find it in your heart to welcome the new members (something I haven't done yet) and give support to me and everyone else. You're an angel from heaven, you know that, don't you? I'm right here, Danni, whenever you need me. I'm across the state, I know but I'm willing to do whatever you need. That's what friends, more importantly, family is for. You're in my heart darling. Take care and be well. All my love, Ellen
