Hello,

The site below has great photos of how Xolair works and a small description

of its use in combination with Allergy Shots. I was wrong about them

canceling each other out. I am sorry for misleading anyone just trying to

figure out multiple maladies.

About the Spinal Tap. It is so expensive, the testing not the tap that is,

and the results are not definitive so I have decided to not have it. When we

told him our financial situation he said it was not imperative and that it

was up to me. My tests did come positive on the Angiotensin Converting

Enzyme, Result 72 of Ref Range 9-67, ( Sardicosis Suspect but after many

chest x-rays that doesn't appear to be it either) and on the ANA (

Antinuclear Antibody) but not high enough to me to risk the test and the

resulting cost of the results. The results could have false negatives or

positives for Sardicosis or MS.

I haven't said anything but due to a blood transfusion 41 years ago now, I

have HCV Genotype 1b. Many of my symptoms could also be from that, like the

Fibromyalgia which has a possible connection to HCV and the ANA and CFIDS. O

bother said Pooh.

Due to the Mystery, Detective ( Money for test to find a cause which may not

be treatable) and Liability Factors of U of M I would also be taking an

expensive test there for hearing that I don't understand why if I am not

having the dizziness I had when I first lost my hearing in the left ear. It

is a Vestibular Test and they insist. It is over $2000.00 and we would pay

20% which we already have so many med bills just barely making it so I am

canceling it and going to a more local, 120 Miles round trip rather than

500. Funny thing at the Neurologist yesterday, he asked why I was going all

the way to Ann Arbor, MI for my hearing? I said because you suggested it! He

fumbled and changed the subject. He also retracted what he had said about my

MRI and that I had 2 stokes in the past year, my husband was there to hear

this and also that it wouldn't be MS because the Lesions were too far apart.

I was recording this session. He now says I could have been born with it!

Man or man am I tired of doctors!

I sure would like to find a way to give the Xolair to myself. My doc won't

agree to it. That would save 220 miles per month! My IGE is 1473 so maybe I

should do the Allergy Shots too. The first batch is at my local docs. The

Asthma doc stopped the shots before they started when He heard my lungs last

fall. So...I will wait for the Xolair to do it's thing and start those after

I talk to his office about it.

Thanks for letting me vent. I have a saying right now. Do I want to Breath,

Hear, Walk, See or Eat. ( I need glasses and major dental on a bridge that

is failing but food is a thought too!)

Hi again,

I should proof read what I write I see.

I forgot to say that the neurologist apparently forgot, as we did at the

time, that the last years MRI didn't show signs of Stroke but this years

did! My husband and I realized that later. I swear many of the doctors don't

remember their patients from the last time they saw them or what they said

to the patient. He also said " Well, you don't have breathing problems so we

don't need to be concerned about that! I said no, I am better because I went

back on the Xolair. I asked if he looked up the drug since he was testing my

immune system and he said no. He had said he never heard of it before so I'm

thinking.... then look it up!

Side effects are back on the Xolair but I am breathing better. Psoriasis,

fatigue and stiffness that was gone while off it but I'll take that as long

as I can breath. Haven't had the earaches return yet.

Sorry for the off topic stuff. Just Dazed and Confused by it all.

In Hope,

That's a wonderful journal article about Xolair, ! It also has

a great graphic illustration of how Xolair works. Thanks for sharing!
