[ ] Update on D's Surgery Day 1

Hi Everyone,I just received an update from 's daughter. I don't have a lot of details, but I'll continue to update as I hear more. Basically, Dr. Glazer said that today's surgery was successful. However, he did not feel comfortable continuing with the second surgery tomorrow because of the extent of what he would have to do. Dr. Glazer wants her to heal from what he did today and wait about 5 weeks before performing the second surgery. Dr. Glazer also said that she will be in the hospital for about 5 days before being discharded to home. I am not sure exactly what they did today, but I do know that surgery was suppose to start around 7:30am and that she was out of surgery around 11:00am. I know many of you have been thinking of her and prayer for her so I wanted to at least give you this bit of information. Please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Thanks for this update. My heart goes out to Val as I know she really wanted

this to be the day (or tomorrow anyway) that she turned the page to a new

chapter. I know this will be a challenge she can rise to, she has before!

If you happen to get information that she has been moved to a regular floor

would you let me know so I can send a card?
