Guest guest
Hi Kathy, I was diagnosed with thoracic outlet syndrome after the birth of my second child (over 17 years ago). A number of exercises were given to me and I performed them twice/day for about 4-6 months after which time the symptoms subsided. One particular exercise involved lying flat on your back holding a broomstick (a yardstick will do) with both arms over my head. Slowly and evenly moving the broomstick down to my thighs and back up over my head, back and forth about 20 times. Another exercise was similar to the superman pose: lie on your tummy with your arms above your head. Raise your arms and legs high stretching out. This one may be very difficult if you have flatback. Hope they help.
