I know ALL too well that personal experience of those " undershirts " and I

still can remember the " scent " of those undershirts after wearing them all

day. :o) WHEW!

I think it is to help support our back while it is healing. I had to wear a TLSO

brace (armpits to hips) for 3 months during the hotest part of a southern

summer. Wore all cotton tank tops under it so I wouldn't chafe. I know that it

helped remind me not to bend or over-do thing.

The only time I was allowed to take it off is showers or if I was laying down.

so it is really just to remind us..hmmm, so I could go without it and

just watch myself real close at time..to not bend..I don't

lift..didn't do that before the surgery...I know I'm not being very

complient(mispelled)..has anyone every did without their brace, if so

what happened?

I did, becuase I got sick of wearing it. It made my back feel fragile and

unsupported, and I tended to over do when I had it off.

Best to wear it like the doc said.
