Unless Perhaps they refer to over-the-counters. One trading as Unisom and another Tylenol PM (or just the p.m. if you like) can be used alternately (they are different formulas) with impunity. Or the herbal Valerian. Peg
Guest guest
I didn't vote " other " as I didn't participate in the poll. AFAIK there is not a single simple trick to getting good sleep, but there are any number of ways to interfere with same. As I have already stated there is a lot that is well understood and documented about the mechanisms affecting sleep quality and quantity. Anyone with a chronic problem is doing themselves a disservice by not looking into the current body of knowledge. The book that I have referenced in previous posts is hundreds of pages long. I found the read a worthwhile investment of my time. If people would just tell me what the " other " is, we could make it more specific in the poll. Unless you speak up, the rest of us can't benefit by knowing exactly what it is that promotes better sleep. We can always start the poll over and add more specific responses Please come forward on or off list with what " other " means. Thanks. When it is time to go to the Bathroom I wake up, when it isn't I sleep. I surf the net for a while if I have trouble sleeping, this does not help in sleep, but it passes the time until I want to sleep. Guest guest
I expect I would be the only " other " with the answer " Sun: " . But that's my answer. I went to So Calif last week, got some sun, & my sleep improved (at least for short term). Of course this would not apply to the 4am question. Guest guest
That may be related to better melatonin production (because of sunlight) on 2/26/2004 6:57 PM, apricot85 at apricot85@... wrote: > I expect I would be the only " other " with the answer " Sun: " . Guest guest
I have not had melatonin tested, and your thought could be on the mark. I've only had Vit D tested, & have consistent experience as this relates to sun & (my) sleep. Vitamin D, is a pro-hormone. A major player in regulating production of numerous substances including enzymes, hormones and neurotransmitters Vitamin D goes pretty far & wide. Guest guest
My other is: loss of sleep is not important. IMO, the lack of sleep is subjective. I would not do anything to "augment" my ability to not wake up. Regards. ----- Original Message ----- From: Francesca Skelton support group Sent: Thursday, February 26, 2004 11:05 AM Subject: [ ] new poll There are already 5 votes for "other". Guest guest
I know some of us have allergic rhinitis/sinus symptoms. I am interested to find out how many of us have seen improvement in those symptoms since starting Xolair. Please participating in the poll I created. (click on the polls link to your left). Thank you. Take care all, Addy
