Guest guest Posted June 23, 2005 Report Share Posted June 23, 2005 hi everyone, it has been almost 2 weeks since i got my cortisone shot and about a week since i started physical therapy... and i'm actually feeling a bit better!!!! plus i found out that i know someone who had the anterior cervical fusion and he gave me the name of an excellent surgeon, just in case i need one in the future. i'm still in a lot of pain, but i am definitely better. the physical therapy is very gentle, mostly massage and traction and stretching. and they use a machine that contracts and relaxes the muscles. it's totally uncomfortable but i think it is helping to release my spasm. i am less stiff and i have less pain in general. i'm excited. i have a follow up appointment next month and i guess we'll go from there. i imagine since i responded well, that he'll give me another shot to see if we can get better results. i also have an appt with the neurologist for a new patient consultation to see if we can fix the rest of me too. yay for me. -mel Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
