I started the first weekend breaking the MTX (he takes two little pills) up into one every four hours instead of all at once. The first weekend, he was still sick but not as bad. This past weekend, I gave it to him at another time other than the time of day I give him the prenisone. He did well. He didn't spike a fever... the first hour hour dose was close to his bedtime so he just feel sleepy anyways. Guest guest
Hi Kathy, That sounds like good advice and it may help a few on the list. When Josh was taking the oral form of MTX we used to give it right before bedtime, which made it much easier for him, too. When we switched over to injections, done by a nurse, we changed from right before bedtime to right after school on Thursdays. It's not so easy anymore, as it makes him very sleepy, even the morning after. Take care, Georgina akally@... wrote: > In a message dated 2/19/00 10:03:47 PM Eastern Standard Time, Jitz45@... > writes: > > << Hi everyone, arrived home from thje hospital thur night, felt better > Friday but today (saturday) he has been on the couch vomiting, couldn't take > any meds at all... Guest guest
, If you don't mind me asking, why didn't you have any results the first time you did BFL? How did you find the strength to come back to the program? I'm getting a little frustrated at my lack of fat loss, but some of the posts I received helped motivate me a bit. Do you think it's necessary to take that Phen Free stuff or whatever supplements there are out there to increase fat loss? I'm not really into taking that stuff...drinking the shakes and eating the bars is enough, especially on a jazz musician's budget! Thanks to everyone for their responses to my last post (2 1/2 weeks) Peace, Jami
Guest guest
The reasons that I didn't get good results in my first challenge are the following: 1) Aerobics: I had no specific plan. I used to walk as fast as I could with my dog for 20 minutes or longer. One day, to re-motivate myself, I climbed to the top of a mountain too (also with the dog), and tho it did wonders for my spirit, it wasn't hugely aerobic. I'd go for fun cycles on weekends with my husband. In other words I didn't burn. Now I get on my exercise bike and really challenge myself every day, completely focusing on my activity and not my dog's LOL. I have entirely separated 'fun' exercises like walking my dog, mountains, and cycling from my training program. I consider them only as bonuses. 2) Weight Training. Again I was a bit lost. I worked out very hard but I didn't mix up my exercises. I found my favorites and did them every single routine. Now I revise every four weeks or any time I feel my old shoulder injury saying hallo. 3) My nutrition. Now here I was majorly disappointed because I really stuck to my daily calorie intake and limited fat to the point that I knew the fat count of everything in sight. BIG MISTAKE. I was eating too many carbs by far. Now my nutrition is balanced and I don't count fat grams at all. (But obviously I don't fry my food either!) I also made a promise to myself that I would never say things like, " Oh not another shake... " 4) My mindset wasn't the best. I read my goals when I remembered. Now I read them every day and I really think about how my body, mind and spirit work together. I don't fantasize about looking like a fitness model - but I do concentrate on having the best body for me. 5) The book. This made a world of difference. At last I had real guidelines and a program that I could stick to. 6) Progress charts. I fill them in every day without fail. They weren't available then so I had a kind of haphazard journal 7) This group. Being a part of this group has helped me enormously. I used to feel very isolated and apart from the Help Line, had no-one to discuss the BFL plan with. My husband (who is at this very moment working out) was barely interested and often cynical about the program. When I didn't get the reults I'd hoped for, I gave him more fuel for his fire. Now he has joined me - altho we both work out alone - and it's a ton better. But I cannot put into words the amount of inspiration, enthusiasm, commitment and friendship that I have received from this Group. I honestly doubt that I would have gotten such good results - especially on an off day when nothing seems to be working but then suddenly there's an e mail with another story or tip or some advice. So thanks a lot team for your contribution to my ongoing transformation. There you have it! That's all the differences. Good Luck everyone. Leaner. Guest guest
I saw that episode and I was surprised they said that. I was somewhat offended because it insinuated that LP's are freaks. And the fact that he dumped her in the end just goes to show that some people are concerned about what people think about who they date. I still think Ally McBeal is a good show though. Guest guest
Don't forget the regular exercise part! I know this strategy is one of the most healthful things one can incorporate into one's daily routine. Also buy a copy of Immune Power by Kaiser. He is an inspiration. Check out here: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0966637305/qid=1010768489/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_3_1/103-0217167-9995056 ... Thank you so much . It's nice to finally talk to someone who has it. I've pretty much been researching and dealing with this thing on my own since November. I have read so much on the subject it's ridiculous. I'm sure that if I stay healthy, that I can avoid my doctor even advising that I start therapy. She at least supports not taking drugs until the numbers are bad. My numbers don't look so good right now and I am pretty healthy, but I have a definite plan involving vitamins, diet and herbs. Thanks for your advice. I will start contributing to this list soon with what I've learned. CaerRead AIDS-Cured

All exercise is good, but this is clearly the best for health. It pumps the lymphatic system like nothing else on earth. It is also a cellular exercise, strengthening and cleansing every cell in the body: muscles, bones, nerves, organs, etc. Back when I still believed in the virus I thought this was the cure for AIDS. Guest guest
Which library? I'm starting to get nervous a little, so far I have 8 libraries booked. Just on Monday, I had 2 call and book. Canandaigua and on----just a bit of a drive! I have been doing these classes for about 1 1/2 yrs. now and the kids really seem to enjoy it. Usually I do the " Fish in a bag " and a small glitter gel but the library theme this summer is " Splish, Splash " so it's fizzing salts and the fish soap. I didn't realize my name was out there in the public! : ) Blinn wrote: > , > > Imagine my surprise and delight today when I looked in the flyer to see what > the library will offer this summer...and found a soap/bath salt demo!!!!! > Don't think I have a kid the right age, but I will be sure to stop in and > say hey anyhow. > > -- Ehrhardt Body & Soap ***coming soon*** www.bodyandsoap.com

When he gets a VT address, then we can say we have accomplished something. I have a friend by the name of Mike who lives here (in Solana beach, CA). He owns a hot tub. So I invented the term, hot tub therapy to explain my visits to him. he's two miles to the beach. For the next three days I will have the run of the place while he is working and his company in the evening. God has been good to me by giving me such nice friends. Guest guest
- Oh I know very well how Joe and Nick can be and I think they are both very funny, I love reading their posts! It also makes me realize I'm not the only single person here not getting any and hating it LOL Seriously tho, it's very hard being single, in my case being a single mom, not being able to get out b/c of back problems, not able to work, unable to meet people to socialize with not to mention to date.....gets very depressing at times. I'm so very thankful I've got my daughter (age 9), I know she's kept my sanity at times, I dont know what I'd do without her around to talk to, it's bad enough when she's gone with her dad for visitation every other weekend!
