Guest guest Posted July 7, 2006 Report Share Posted July 7, 2006 Hi there! I voted on the first poll about whether or not my doctor allows self injecting, but I kind of got stuck on the second poll. I'm not exactly sure how much he charges per injection. I am on Medicare, and I know that Medicare only pays for 80% of the cost of injection. The 20% I would pay per injection is $7.90, so I wasn't sure how to answer the poll question. Luckily, because I live in Massachusetts, I qualify for our state funded insurance, " MassHealth " . They technically pick up that 20% for me, so in reality my out of pocket cost is zero dollars. However, if I did not qualify for MassHealth, I would have to pay that 20%. Anyone out there a math wizard that can figure out what the doctor charges per injection if my 20% is $7.90? I was never good with mathmatics.
