Guest guest
Before I'd let a doctor put me on Decadron for pain, I'd see an acupuncturist. I had a badly broken wrist -- my doctor called it dust. It had to be surgically rebuilt. They started physical therapy 2 days after the operation, and the pain was so intense I couldn't stand it, and I couldn't tolerate the pain meds because they made me woozy and I figured I'd fall and hurt the other wrist. My doctor warned me that I would be disabled if I didn't do the PT, but I just couldn't tolerate it. I went to an acupuncturist and after the 1st treatment, I was able to do the PT. In all, I had 3 treatments and I haven't had any problems since, I did fine in the PT, and I can use my right hand and wrist are almost like new -- no apparent disability at all. At any rate, good luck. Carol I have degenerative disk disease in my neck. In 2000 I had C-4 and C-5 fused and have not had any problems since. Before that surgery, the Neurosurgeon put me on high doeses of a stonger Evil Candy, Decadron. UGH! I react to that MUCH worse tham Pred. Well, my neck is at it again. I had an MRI last monday. It did not lookcery promising so my family Doctor is sending me back to the Neurosurgeon Tuesday morning. Please pray that he will NOT put me on ANY evil candy!
