No Addy, I don't work for Caremark. Specialty Pharmacies are supposed to be

helpful and assist in obtaining the Xolair for you. Acredo/Novafactor,

CuraScript, OptionCare & Caremark are the 4 specialty pharmacies that distribute

Xolair for Genentech.

HIPPA is a law requiring people to have a medical purpose to know your

information. Specialty Pharmacies, Physicians and patients all need to know

what is going on. The sales Rep has no " need " to know personal information.

That is why permission had to be given to him to help. The physicians office

should never balk at giving the specialty pharmacy the information needed to

dispense or bill your Xolair. If they do, you need to tell them it is OK, &

that HIPPA was designed to help the transfer of information to parties that need

it, and keep your personal information private from those wo don't need it.

Many people are confused about this law. It is fairly simple really. Thoase

who need it are supposed to have it, those who don't - shouldn't have it.
