Guest guest
I get my Xolair delivered to my house. When I arrived home yesterday, the cooler was outside my door. According to the distributor, it was there for only 40 minutes. However, the package wasn't packed correctly: both icepacks were at the bottom, followed by the supplies (syringes, alcohol pads, needles, etc), and the xolair was at the top, far away from the icepacks. I noted that the Xolair was warm, far warmer than room temperature, and that the ice packs were largely melted. I called Accredo Novafactor. At first they tried to tell me that it was okay, that Xolair could be unrefrigerated for 48 hours. I said that this wasn't just unrefrigerated, it was WARM. Eventually, they called me back and have said that they will provide a new shipment, which I hope will arrive this afternoon. Anyway, I'm hoping that they'll really dispose of the bottles that they've asked me to send back to them. HAs anyone else had this experience, of Xolair arriving warm? Guest guest
My pharmacy received them WARM from Novartis once. This was back a year ago when Xolair was new on the Canadian market. He called them up, told them they were dumb and that he was not accepting the product. He then sent them back. They are all bar-coded and numbered so those vials were marked as destroyed. Guest guest
This happened to me on my first shot. Caremark transposed the numbers of my zip code so it came up as the right address but in a different city. It took 7 days to straighten out them mess. By the time I received the shipment the ice packs were melted and Xolair was warm. I called Caremark and they tried to blame me for it because I was the one trying to contact UPS and get the shipment straightened out. Long story short...they realized it was their mistake and they sent me a new shipment. mcohnlist@... wrote: I get my Xolair delivered to my house.
