Hi Tammy,

Yes I have had the stimulator implant and to be honest with you the trial worked

great. When I went back to have the perminate one put in which I believe was

about a week later it didn't do so well. I have had numerous lumbar fusions and

that is one of the reason's I didn't do so well with it. My neur.surgeon said

they should have not have did the inplant. I do not want to discourage you, I

have heard of people having this stimulator and being pain free. I really guess

it depends on what kind and if any surgeries you have had. I was going to the

pain clinic in Winston Salem N.C. and they are the ones who did my inplant. I

had a very good doctor so all I can say is that I just was not a good patient

for the inplant . Where are you having your's done at ? if you don't mind me

asking. The surgery it self is nothing to be afraid of and of course you are

nervous but just turn it over to the LORD . Please do let me know how it goes

for you . My prayer's are with you and I hope and pray that this does work for

you.

God Bless You

Hi ,

Thanks for writing back. I had a surgery back in Aug.1998 in with they

removed 4 disc, did a fusion and I have rods, nuts and bolts all in my

lumbar area of my back. I have been though I don't know how much

physical thearpy. I had my back surgery in Columbus, Ohio @ Grant

Hospital. I will be having the SCS trial in Mansfield, Ohio then I

have to go to Cleveland, Ohio to have the perment SCS implanted.

If you don't mind me asking besides that the perment really didn't

work as well did you have any bad reactions to it? I am sorry to hear

that it didn't work for you, are they going to try something else?

May God Bless You,

Take Care, Tammy

For everyone that is considering any implant into the

spine; such as a Dorsal Column Stimulator (Spinal Cord

Stimulators), please read my past posts regarding

them. I had the implant done on December 9, and it

was turned on last friday. You can send me a personal

email to workoutguy89117@..., and I will send

you my phone number.

Tammy, take advantage of the trial period. At the end

of it, put some stress on by moving a lot. But don't

do it until the end because if it comes out, your out

of luck.

So far, the pain is still there and as painful as it

was without it. I don't know if it has to do with the

amount of pain pills that I took (3-4 Percozets, 10mg

a day). Maybe I am going through some type of

withdrawl; but I still take them.
