Guest guest Posted March 16, 2010 Report Share Posted March 16, 2010 Ellen - hang in there...A church group my daughter and other youth started work with many back in Slidell and the Northshore area rehabbing homes, etc. (I unfortunately will be administrative this time because of my lumbar spine) You come from a place of friendly, great people! I hope you can get the PTs and doctors to help the way you need them to. Most of the Physical Therapists I have had to deal with have one thing in mind, the patient, but occasionally they are trying to reach goals their employers put on them, like moving patients forward, and getting them off PT. I'm also confused as to why they are putting their hands on you at all like you say. PT usually involves learning exercises to make the muscles around your damaged area and your core stronger, not pushing on your back like a chiropractor! I think I might find another PT! My dad lives in Slidell in a home that had 25 ft. of water. He's nuts. I didn't realize people were still going down there to help. Many thanks. My niece met her fiancee' on a roof. I love the idea of asking their goal for me.
