Yikes got my doctor bill !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Holy crapola I just got my bill from that doctor I went to who did

nothing for me. I have no idea how much of it will be covered under our

insurance but I am pissed my bill was over $5,500.00 that is enough to

make me sick I am sure I will have to pay at least 20% of it

I can not believe I went to this doctor for degenerative disc disease

and was told I had MS had all these tests only to find out I had

degenerative disc disease which was the reason why I went there to begin

with now I am out loads of money and am no better off then when I started.

I cancelled my appointment I had today I am not going back to that hell

hole. I have had really bad headachs ever since that quack gave me those

shots in my neck I wonder if I can file a complaint against this place.

I believe from the depts of my soul that this place is just fleecing

folks out of their money the last time I went there every paitent who

came out from an exam was making appointments for every test I had. I

know people do need tests but every paitent? Also the doctor kept

confuseing me with someone else was 3 hours late for one of my

appointments I left that day because I got discusted, and the other

doctor ran people through that place like an assembly line that just

does not seem right. Guess I could look online and see if any complaints

have been lodged against this place I hate the thought of anyone else

going through the same thing I did It bothers me that I went there and

the doctor could not remember why I was there and then kept thinking I

was someone else this just shows me they don't even look at their charts

before they walk in the exam room I feel like such a fool for ever going

there guess I won't go to any more doctors it seem pointless now I will

be lucky to get the bills from this mess paid off in the next year.

I am going to write them a letter and tell them how I feel. I worry

about the bill because my husband tried really hard to clean up his

credit which got bad due to my medical bill so I don't want his credit

getting bad again due to my illness. I won't be going to any more

doctors this was it for me I am to the point that I feel no one will

help me anyway and I do not have the money to continue trying to get

help. I have yet to get anything from insurance except for my first

visit and now we have new insurance due to problems with the insurance

company not paying claims. I will report this place as soon as I find

the correct place to file a complaint all I can say is no more doctors

for me. All I wanted was some relief from the muscle spasms and still

have nothing so I will find some medication online and just buy it I

figure it is easier then trying to get some from a doctor. I use to buy

muscle relaxers from one place online and it helped so I will send off

for some from this place again.

Hi Pamm,

Yeah, get a new doc! In the meantime, check and see if your state

gov't has an umbudsman, or insurance coordinator- and see if they

can help you negotiate that bill. Sometimes you can negotiate a med

bill OK on your own. Just because you have insurance doesn't mean

you have to accept the bill as presented!

You may also be able to negotiate your 'part' of the payment, or

find out what medicare or medicaid pays for that service and offer

the same!

I'd make certain that whoever 'runs' that offics knows how you have

been treated, diagnosed/misdiagnosed, and made to suffer uneeded

tests. Just blow-up in their faces! Make them happy to be rid of

you. I know this is very difficult when you are in pain- heck, it's

difficult to be 'nasty' under any circumstances! Don't you wish you

had the devil for your advocate in handling our awesome med system!
