Guest guest
I've had the scratch tests probably 7 times in my life. They are always horrific! My most recent allergy/pulmo doc has a room devoted for this purpose alone with an adjacent bathroom. The nurse offers you something to drink and allows you to do it sitting up with a hospital gown open to the back. By far the most overall comfortable experience I've had. Still, the pain and itching on my back is terrible. Fortunately, thanks to Xolair, I'll never have to do that again! Good bye horrible, ineffective allergy shots! Addy PS - depending on which set of scratch tests, I've been allergic to 55- 70+ items. The tests I got at Duke were the most comprehensive - tested for more than 120 allergens. I figure after 40 positives, it probably doesn't matter! I'm just ALLERGIC!
Guest guest
my skin prick test was for around 70 allergens. And you are right, after 40 positives does it really matter? but it looks like that xolair has helped you. i can't wait to start xolair - hopefully sometime soon. > > I've had the scratch tests probably 7 times in my life.
