Guest guest
Great news Elle! Congrats! When I wrote in about my excessive hair shedding wondering if xolair might be triggering it, you guys promptly did a poll and showed me that it wasn't likely. I was most grateful. Then, someone from this group recommended that I get my thyroid tested. Well, I listened and got it tested, and guess what, my TSH was elevated. I got diagnosed with hypothyroidism and have been started on sinthroid. The doctor said that I should expect a 100% recovery, that all hair shedding would be reversed and I would be back to normal...... Now I can take xolair without worrying and I wanted to pass it along so all of you would stop worrying too. Without your input this would not have been possible. Many thanks to you all. Guest guest
Your post made my day. Thyroid influences all kinds of things, so it is great for you to have a proper diagnosis before you have really weird stuff start going on. We're all delighted that the group was able to provide you support and direction! Guest guest
ELLE, I am glad you went to your physician. Hypo & Hyper thyroidism are very treatable problems. Take good care of yourself.
