Guest guest
Charlene - my surgeon basically said that pain is a poor reason to do neck surgery. He said that loss of function, or weakness is the real indicator that the surgery is needed because of all that comes with the surgery. He will only operate when there is weakness or loss of function. Ihad loss of function at the time and the surgery was God sent I believe. Hope that pain free days are ahead for you and so many here in this group. mark ________________________________ From: Charlene Willoughby <adanaturkey8385@...> spinal problems Sent: Thu, September 16, 2010 9:30:53 AM Subject: My doctor did send my MRI's to the Portland VA There the board of neurosurgeons will look at my MRI's to determine if I need surgery on my neck. My pri doc said they probably won't want to see me because I have no weakness anywhere. I sent a message about this recently, but to the wrong group I think. He said they usu don't do surgery unless a person has weakness because they are doing less surgeries on the necks these days. Char
