Guest guest
Welcome ekkhoj Scratch tests are horrible, I agree and so would everyone else here. My allergies encompass every tree, grass, weed, and mold god ever thought about making, along with dogs, cats, horses, cows, pigs, hamsters, birds, eggs, every berry god ever made, dust & dust mites. I have seen IgE levels at 7000 and 9000 in very allergic children. Xolair is working for them. They are twins and allergic to alot of foods as well as environment. They started on Xolair at age 2, they are now 3 and off all medications. They were on 80 mg of prednisone a day along with adult strength inhalers/nebulizers and 10mg singulair. It works for them. It works for the 85% of us who have allergic driven asthma. It takes a little longer for some than others. It may be that the IgE levels drawn on people using chronic steroids is off and the dose is not high enough to see results right away. It may be a whole host of other reasons. But, if your asthma is truly allergy driven, I am confident you will be better. Again, welcome to the group. Pat --------------------------------- Blab-away for as little as 1¢/min.
