Guest guest
I got the word that my Xolair has arrived and I will be getting my first shots on Wednesday. It comes at a good time. I am struggling with what I call the axis of horror: diabetes, asthma and allergies. None is going well at the moment. Ten days ago, I got a bad Ha1C reading (7.7), my worst in six years, and my doctor has to tinker with my meds. He added Actos (dreaded by most with good reason), but after a week, it had a toxic interaction with my Lipitor and has left my large muscle groups sore. I stopped the Actos, and thankfully am feeling a little less sore each day. That came at the same time my IGE blood work revealed a nasty set of bad food allergies which has left me with little to eat if you combine the typical diabetic diet with an inability to tolerate milk and meat. To top it off, many of my environmental allergies are in full bloom here in the desert SW (once a haven for asthma sufferers, but no more), so my coughing has returned! Sorry to ramble, I know my Xolair treatments will taketime and help with only a few of my issues. At this point, I am looking for any avenue to feel better. Thanks for listening.
