,

NO! You are NOT rambling. You are among friends here :)

I know exactly what you are going through. Hang in there. Give the

Xolair some time to work. It took me over a year to see any results.

Different people react differently to medicines. Along with my

chronic, persistant, daily asthma, I am also type II Diabetic and have

been on Actos 2 years. I have also been on Lipitor and Tricor for 12.

I have been very fortunate not to have the problems you are experiencing.

My last A1C was 5.5 because I am exercising daily, taking Actos and

watching what I eat like a hawk. When my blood sugar gets over 150, I

take 2.5 mg of Glyburide and within 30 minutes, my sugar is between

80-95. Splenda and I are best friends (grin)

I went through our local hospital's diabetic clinic workshops and felt

much better about my condition. I was NOT alone. They taught me how

to live with diabetes and still eat :)

I had cornea transplants and cataract surgeries in both eyes between

1980 and 1998. The last thing my eye surgeon said as I was leaving my

last office visit was " Keep that blood sugar under 130 buster! You

don't need anything ELSE bad happening to those peepers of yours. "

If I ever have to go back on Prednisone (God forbid) my family doctor

will keep me on Glyburide daily.

If you have read previous posts, you will see that I have a herniated

disk in my neck and will probably be receiving a Decadron shot in the

offending disk disk this week. I am prepared! I have my Actos and

Glyburide prescriptions refilled.

I am not worried, I will do just fine :)

Good to have you with us.
