Guest guest
I haven't tried the TENS machine you're talking about (I've tried an ordinary TENS , which did nothing, but I take it this one is a bit different). I have TP's in my back, shoulders, neck and head for about 4 years. Massage, over a one year period has helped. The most immediate results have been from dry needling. A hypodermic is used to cut away the fibres of the TP's. ( A wee bit painful but effective!) I also do active myofascial stretches with a doctor or physio. Hope this is of some help, Emma ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com
Guest guest
Hello Emma, Yes, this unit is different. There are no pads, the tip of the unit is kind of like that of a ball-point pen. THis means you can place it anwhere you want, even above a hairline (which you can't with pads). I tried it for a bit, and it helped, I just don't know if it would help beyond what I tried it for. Several things help initially then don't seem to work anymore. This unit is covered by most insurance plans, but I don't have coverage so I'm trying to find out as much as I can. With regards to dry needling, I'm not sure if I like the the idea of cutting the fibres, do you feel they heal properly, and do the same ones come back?
