Guest guest
thanks for checking in , glad to hear of your improvement. wendy There is hope even when you are ready to give up! Hi All, I was a member of this group a few months back. I have had 3 surgeries. The latest was back in May on the 29th. I had a rather severe herniation which rendered much of my leg numb and weak. It was a quick onset and I had surgery about 3 days after it hit me. This one really got me down since now not only did I have constant pain in my foot but I couldn't feel much of the back of my leg and about 1/2 my foot. Well I just wanted to join the group to say don't give up hope. Now after about 4 months I am still getting some feeling back. I really didn't think that was likely. I was pretty much resigned to the fact that I would have a bum leg the rest of my life. I still have numbness from about my upper calf up along my hamstring and many parts of my foot. But I am gaining strength in the leg and getting more feeling back. It can happen to you to. -
Guest guest
I've finally taken to heart the phrase the Insurance told me, " you were not made whole and never will be " . My pain has continued to worsen and nothing is being done to help me. Sorry, must be feeling sorry for myself lately. I know there are people who are worse off than I am, but with numerous medical problems to deal with it really gets me down. > > thanks for checking in , glad to hear of your improvement. > wendy > > > There is hope even when you are ready to give up! > > > Hi All, > I was a member of this group a few months back. Guest guest
Are You going the " pills only " way or having also some alternative treatment? Often it is not enough to make your symptoms go away, you should deal with what's causing them. Strengthening your bodies weakest parts will always help you get stronger. > > > > thanks for checking in , glad to hear of your improvement. > > wendy > > > > > > There is hope even when you are > ready to give up! > > > > > > Hi All, > > I was a member of this group a few months back. Guest guest
Right there with you Margee. I have multiple medical problems, which on top of the spinal issues really gets me down. Still doing PT, also still taking three different things for pain every day, not to mention the ice the heat the freeze spray the lidocaine patches. I am on 33 years old. It is not suppose to be this way at this age, ya know? I feel your pain and hope things get better for you soon. Always know, we are hear to listen to you vent and commiserate.  Shayna  It is better to be hated for who you are than liked for who you aren't. Guest guest
Since my surgery I live on Tylenol, it's not touching the pain any longer. Still waiting to hear back from new Ortho, he's definitely not winning any Brownie points right now! > > > > > > thanks for checking in , glad to hear of your improvement. > > > wendy > > > > > > > > > There is hope even when you are > > ready to give up! > > > > > > > > > Hi All, > > > I was a member of this group a few months back. Guest guest
Well my life has always been dealing with Asthma, then auto accident totally turned my life upside down, I'm 55+ now and days get worse for me. Sleeping is almost impossible past about 3 hours. I know alot of people have it worse than me, but sometimes I don't think my family understands. > > > > thanks for checking in , glad to hear of your improvement. > > wendy > > > > > > There is hope even when you are > ready to give up! > > > > > > Hi All, > > I was a member of this group a few months back.
