You may enjoy the heat, but I think that it can hurt your skin over time. It's actually what my chirpractor told me to do after I get adjustments. But I'm betting may know more as to why we don't apply heat continuously. Also, I'm diabetic, so I have to be careful in case I'm not sensing everything. joe
Guest guest
Thanx ... It was me asking the questions weather or not they did it from the backside or thru the abdomen. Ya'll have me convinced about seeking out a Neuro instead. Going to call and get an tomorrow and get an appt. Thanks again for everyone's input. And YES....children are still bouncing off the walls here, but going to be bed very shortly! And me too!!!! Hope everyone had a restful weekend Hi everyone, Well, the chocolate bunnies and road'o'peeps should be finished off by now - little ones zipping off the corners of the living room walls from all the sugar. Older ones hiding the rest of the candy for their use only. I hope that you're all doing well. Thanks for the input! I'm doing better. I called the neuro's office on Friday, and basically we came up with most of what Joe said - just par for the course, and I'm doing more now physically. I'd been off the muscle relaxants for the most part, but they said to continue using them regularily, so I am, I will, I is. That and mix in some of my normal rock-headedness. We have trails cut on our acerage, and that of friends whose land ajoins ours - so we have about 300 acres with trails - not all level. I got my butt chewed out pretty good for walking the trails, and so I will, of course, reform and stick the the gravel roads. I am using the hot pad, but more than Joe said?? Why the 10 min on and 50 min off? Hot showers are fine, but I'm counting the days until I can use the whirlpool again - when all the scabs (ooh, gross!) on the wound come off on their own. I can't recall who asked, but my surgery was done from the backside. And I'll amen to having a neurosurgeon, not an orthopedic. The nurse at our neuro's office said to ask the ortho's how many of the surgeries they had done like yours, and ask if anyone was ever paralized or died, and then ask the same question of the neuro. Guest guest
Joe Your going to a chiropractor after having the surgery? Did you try one before the surgery?
