Guest guest Posted December 11, 2006 Report Share Posted December 11, 2006 i had the radio frequency ablation done last december. it lasted for about six months but for six months i was great. i am starting the procedures again to have the RF ablation done again. my doctor at the time told me i could do this whenever i needed to. what they do is burn the nerves at the facet joints so that you lose the pain. you are awake when they do this. it is a little uncomfortable. i would not say painful. the results were well worth the uncomfortability of doing it. marsha Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
