hi, has anyone had this diagnosed? if so, how did you handle it? did it go

away on its own? or, did you have to have a fusion as a result. we are

talking L4-L5-S1 here and i refuse to go thru another fusion. has anyone had

radio frequency ablation? did this help with the Synovian cyst? thanks, marsha

Hello I have had the same fusion but mine goes up

higer on my spine. The Pain Center that I go to wants

me to have the Raido Frequency Ablation but I am not

sure if I am going to let them. They also took a Cyst

off mt spine where the Fusions were done. My pain has

got worse after I had the shots in my spine a month

tommy, my fusion was at L3-L4 with all the hardware for stenosis and

spondylolethesis. my synovian cyst is at L4-5-S1 - somewhere over there on the

facet joint. i am in the process of starting with the shots again leading up

to

the RF ablation. anything that would help would be great. i want to go back

swimming and can't because it just makes the pain worse on my left thigh.

which is from the cyst. how did they get rid of your cyst? was it done the

same time as the fusion? i do not want to go thru another fusion. No!!! i

don't understand why the shots made you worse. i have always heard, and from

myself too, that they either help or after a while, nothing. but i have never

heard worse. did your doctor use the xray machine that shows him/her

exactly where they are shooting? marsha
