Guest guest
This is really strange. I have cervical spinal stenosis, I've been in PT 6 weeks, I'm on 800mg Ibuprofen 2 -3 times a day, luckily I'm now almost pain free (yay!) -- BUT feel dizzy or lightheaded when I turn my neck in certain ways. It comes on pretty quick, and if I move my head out of that position, it goes away right away. It's like there's still pressure being placed somewhere that's making me not feel quite right. I just had an honest-to-goodness dizzy spell a few moments ago. I did see the neurosurgeon on Monday for followup, he's pleased with my progress, and says only come back if / when I need to. Pain Mgt doc told me the same thing. I wasn't feeling this dizzy when I saw either of them. The dizzy stuff's been going on for a few days, though I wasn't really sure it's what I was feeling, because I'd switch positions fairly quick to stop it. I did spend several hours sitting today in a meeting. I thought I was comfortable enough...but maybe not? Plus, I have another meeting all day tomorrow, and another on Saturday! This is very weird. I'm also on Zoloft 50mg once a day at night. Thoughts?? Thanks! -RJ.
Guest guest
I would go see your primary doc, tell them you've been experiencing vertigo. This may be totally unrelated to your neck. --- ________________________________ From: RJ <rmstonefry@...> spinal problems Sent: Thursday, October 9, 2008 9:49:05 PM Subject: dizzy, lightheaded in certain neck positions This is really strange. Guest guest
I had cervical disectomy at C6-7 on May 8th. On June 2, I had vertigo. It was horrible! The entire room was spinning. It lasted for a month but I only had it when I turned my head in bed. I am convinced that it was from the surgery but all doctors say no. After that, I was dizzy for another month and then it just went away. Joanie > > This is really strange. Guest guest
Thanks everyone -- I'll check in with my primary doc and see whats what. I have had vertigo before, but not in at least a decade! Maybe it's allergies... --Rita. > > That generally doesn't cause dizziness. > > > ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ > > LOL - it does with me, that's why I mentioned it. > > ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ > > From: pat040394 > Cervical radiculopathy maybe? > Or, some sort of neuropathy? >
