Participating in clinical trial?

I'm considering participating in a clinical trial through my doctor. It

aims to determine whether or not the numerical increased number of

malignancies seen in the initial clinical trials turns out to be real

over a long period of time and with a much larger number of patients.

Their is no blind arm in this trial, so I will definitely receive

Xolair and not placebo. There is a payment from Genentech for

participating, $30 per injection visit, which will cover the co-pay my

doctor's office charges.

Are any of you paricipating in this trial? Any down side? Thanks -

Fran
