Yes, but do they come in ?

:)

They really do seem to help with all that cushioning. I suspect they

might help folks with bad knees as well, though I've not had trouble there so

perhaps shouldn't guess.

Just thought I'd offer this as it was mentioned on another post.  The Skecher

Shape Ups tennies are a godsend.  They'll do wonders for your back and your

posture.  I have cervical problems and they help me with both posture and

balance.

My sister who has had 6 lower back surgeries wears them all the time.

No, ton, SC...guess it's a common way of warning potential cuttees

about what to expect esp if your only prior " surgical " experience was a

drive-by one. (My guy is ortho, fwiw.)

Oh...I can maybe offer a hundred dollar way to ease up on some

pain...those Skecher Shapeups? Can't say as my 64-year old butt is " firming up "

but I

am living in them now, and they might in fact be part of the reason the

pain has backed off some...they really, truly, seriously cushion each step

Wish I could squeeze one into the L4-L5 space!

I was ..partly..joking about the Janes...I do know that Skechers

comes in a wide variety of styles, including some that apparently will work for

folks with uniform requirements...a friend who works for the TSA found a

pair that passed muster as " plain toed. "

On e thing with Skechers, you might as well start ut trying on apair that

is a half size larger than your usual size, they run precisely that small.

They sure do feel good though. They also help when I'm doing chores that

require standing in one place for any length of time..usually when I try

to move after that, it's a killer. With these, I remember to jut kind of

rock on them while staying in place, and that really helps.

Whether you go with Skechers, or go up or down in price...I'd say " Give a

pair a try. "

The knock-off do not come in a Jane type shoe, but the originals

(MBT's) do. The MBT's also come in sandels, and several other styles for men

and women. I couldn't wear the cheaper versions because I have a wide foot

and other foot issues due to RA. I would trying on any pair first, since

the width and length can vary quite a bit.
