Sof ar noting has been done with the lower back. Surgery has been suggested for the cervical spine although I am not sure if this doctor is an orth or an neuro surgeon for he works at the same practice as my Orthopedic Dr. My Orthopedic DR does not do spine work only knees, hips and ankles. I will definitely try to do a search for a neurosurgeon though for at least another opinion. I am just confused why chiropractor wants to stop treatment right now when it does help me some. At least I get an hour or two of not a lot of pain. Joy
Guest guest
Joy - Sorry for not having commented on your case before. It sounds as if you have some impinged nerves in your lumbar area, and the arm may signify something in the cervical area as well. An ER visit for the pain may be adviseable. Should you lose bladder or bowel control, you SHOULD IMMEDIATELY go to an ER. Also, you have been dealing with an ORTHO, you should also get a second opinion from a NEUROSURGEON, since they deal with the wiring, as well as the structure of your body. (You wouldn't want the best built house without electricity.) An MRI should be performed to see which levels are bulging or herniated, and an EMG performed to see how badly those nerves are impinged. That way, your NS can help you determine what surgery or other treatment considerations should be made. joe Quoting donjoy3@...: > Hi, > I am really confused right night. Guest guest
Why don't you try asking your chiropractor ? I can only speculate but I suspect he may be wondering whether your condition is worsening and he probably wants to be sure he's not making things worse. In response to an earlier issue you mentioned, I thought you were going to call for advise on going to the urologist. > I am just confused why chiropractor >wants to stop >treatment right now when it does help me some. Guest guest
If you haven't already I think you should go to the Er. Knowone should have to suffer like that. I went when my shoulder was killing me and they gave me a shot of cortizone. It helped alot. Well as for me and my possible Lymphoma It took me e-mail our local abs news to finally get the referals I have been waiting on. They came to my house and did an interveiw about the health care system and medicade and low and behold I finally got my referals. I'm still waiting for the paper work so I can call and talk to the doctors about moving up my appointment dates because the don't have me seeing the general surgeon til the end of may but hey going public did me some good. I just wish all the letters I sent out to our Government would have helped, but at least my local news did me a little good. I finally went to my pain management dr, and all he did was put me on darvocet and arthris medication. I guess anything better than nothing. I just hope it does some good. Take care everyone you are all in my thoughts. Joy please if you keep getting worse go to the er.
