Guest guest
I want to apologize for the irritation and frustration I caused sending this group information about my yoga for back pain workshop as it wasn't my intention. While I have been reading posts, I haven't replied and can understand why you'd think I was only here to self-promote. I have had back challenges since I was a little girl. And, when I trained in these yoga practices it literally changed my life around, transformed all my back pain and stopped me from having to get scoliosis and hip treatments. It was only my intention to share this alternative means of finding relief with you in the hopes that the teachings I have to offer can uplift the lives of others in the way it did for me. I won't send anymore emails about these workshops. If anyone is interested, they can simply contact me directly. Again, I apologize. Warmly, Nandi
Guest guest
Nandi, thank you for sharing with the group. I'm happy that you have found so much relief from your yoga practice. I too have also found life changing relief from yoga and home treatment of myofascial and trigger point pain. What a difference! I have had a bad back since I was a child and had six surgeries, my first at age 16. I have also tried hard to share what a difference it has made for me, though I don't think anyone has taken the information and applied it. Its frustrating sometimes. We have to be proactive in treating our pain and not expect it to be something We can do passively. Docs, surgeries and pills are not always going to take care of it and should ALWAYS be a last resort. Welcome to the group. I'm sorry that you had to experience some of the " uppitiness " that can be a part of a group where so many are hurting, frustrated and misunderstood. Thank you for sharing about your classes and if anyone in your area is interested, I'm sure they'll contact you. Please feel free to share more about yourself and what yoga has done for you. --- On Sat Jun 12th, 2010 1:04 PM EDT nandi hetenyi wrote: >I want to apologize for the irritation and frustration I caused sending >this group information about my yoga for back pain workshop as it wasn't >my intention. Guest guest
Years ago, about 8 years ago, a yoga master that specializes in people with disabilities would come to the house and teach me simple breathing and stretches from Hatha Yoga, she taught me to center myself and to mediate, it really helped my overwhelming pain. Several years later I wrote, illustrated and published a mediation book, i invited over 20 writers for the project and it went very well. However, it all began with Yoga principles to which i am very grateful. The yoga instructor over the years became a very special friend to us. Sixe years ago she came to my 20th birthday of sobriety. If any Phoenix, AZ people here would be glad to share how to get in touch with Irma Juneau, she now does Reiki as well. Guest guest
Its difficult to know where to line is sometimes, I do feel your intentions were pure. Its why i am careful about the holistic measures i use to battle this monster, agony. I have found that works for us, its just a line that i am not sure if it will be crossed or not. So, I do understand what you mean? Does the website group files have a place for websites that might help perhaps? A few years ago, I was in a pain cream they would for two days a month allow for remedies from everyone, for that group it worked fine. I can see though, it could invite other undesirable ads filling everyone's email box would become a problem.. I love yoga personally and i still use the yoga principles in my daily life.
