Guest guest
Hello Group, I have been reading some of the posts. I have not had any surgery yet. Been on pain meds for 7 years now. I take MS-contin and Diludid. It seems if I take the meds and restrict my activity my pain is greatly reduced. I've stooped going for surgeons for interviews about surgery only because they all want to operate on me and say the same thing. I think in my case it is arthritis that is giving me the most pain but the docs never tell me that. They just want to cut me open and get the fee. I wish I could stop taking these narcotics. It takes away my sex drive.....remember sex....it was great. I am also very obese and I think that is stressful on my spine which has herniated disks @ the L4, L5,and I think L6 locations. I have a bunch of other things wrong with my spine that I can not pronounce. It must be bad cause the pain doc keeps giving me pain meds. My pain doc says if I have surgery then I may be able to stop taking pain meds? is that true? do people ever get off the narcotics???
