Guest guest
About the recent posts on the Giger spinal device, I have to say; Now hold on... I don't think that device claims to cure SCI as implied by the posts. ly, I've never heard of it. But it has been well documented (especially in the last 11 years) that physiotherapy and " entraining " maneuvers WILL (not maybe, but WILL) improve SCI outcomes as determined by both motor and sensory functional recovery. This device appears to me to provide entraining maneuvers. That's only my opinion since I have not explored it in full. Often times, Cybex machines are employed, but there are now a host of others available (and less expensive ones) that pretty much do the same things. Also, what works for some SCI patients doesn't work for others. This 'Giger' device could be one of those devices. I don't know. But for in NH to say " ...what a total piece of BS. " I presume is at best an opinion, and at worst ignorant and misguided advice that might exclude a particular therapy for an SCI patient. Like all other therapies, it should be explored thoroughly before rendering an opinion. That the website is made by Microsoft Front Page, I say, " So what? " I agree that it's not a pretty website, but what does that have to do with the product? If you're implying that it MUST be a scam because it's not professionally made, I'll tell you that only last week I read that MOST scams use slick and 'professionally built' websites aimed at maximizing their look and feel. So, like everything else, educate yourself about what your condition is, what you need, and what's available out there. Lee
