Hi all...

I've been mostly lurking, trying to find answers for my daughter's

back/pelvic pain. She has prolaspsed/torn discs at L4-5 and L5-S1.

She also has Interstitial Cystitis (a very painful bladder disease),

IBS and Vulvar Vestibulitis.

Recently she has been going to a pelvic pain specialist (urology

ARNP) who is treating all of her problems beginning with her spine

since those problems may be causing most of her painful symptoms.

They have been using Frequency Specific Microcurrent and the

results, so far, make us very hopeful. My daughter is definitely

having less pain in the lower back and in her bladder/pelvic floor

pain after only 3 treatments over the last three weeks. It isn't

very expensive ($30 for 15 minutes - they do a 30 min treatment each

time because she has so many problem areas).

I haven't seen anyone mentioning this kind of treatment on this

board, so I thought you might want to know about it for pain relief

and/or healing of tissue damage. My daughter is also taking

medications for IC as well as narcotic and non-narcotic pain

relievers when needed, but she is noticing a definite difference in

her overall level of pain. I'm considering trying it for my

fibromyalgia and arthritis. I found a couple of websites that

explain FSM. I'm not promoting these practitioners. It's just that

these sites give good information on what FSM is and Dr. McMakin's

site lists practitioners who are trained to use it.

Good luck to everyone in finding ANYTHING that helps you feel

better!!
