Guest guest
Kathleen, Just wanted to add to your knowledge base about RF (radio frequency).. The docs at the pain center where I work do RF also. They warn patients that its not an instant cure because of the burning. But after the burn heals inside (about 1 week). the patients are amazingly better. The patients I see several weeks post op are for the most part very satisfied. (Of course some people you can't please because they want the " fuzzy " feeling they get from narcotics). Best of luck, Joyce (RN Atlanta)

Guest guest
I have a Friend who is on Gabapentin (Neurontin) - and he swears it helps him - he has pretty bad Neuropathy left from Radiation and Chemo (twice) for cancer. I have taken Neurontin and the new one Lyrica (not sure of that generic name) but they have never helped me much - I think it truly depends on WHAT is causing your Neuropathy - I stopped taking both of them after a while and I experience lots of stiffness and pain in my joints - but no difference from the time I was taken these meds (Neurantin is actually a seizure medication which now is used even in Psychiatry to help with anxiety) - there are many uses for this now - it seems I always fall into that 10% or 20% that either does not feel any improvement - I have had trouble all my life with medications - I often do the " unexpected " . I will donate my body to Science (if they will even take it) - maybe someone can figure out why I am so " weird " . Guest guest
I know what you mean. I react backwards to morphine, and have allergic reactions to lots of other things. I offered my body to my doctor for science one day and he said they pay for scientific discovery, not science fiction. LOL. Guest guest
I can just see it now if they ever take me - the articles in their Medical " Actual Cases " - " this woman lived with " this " or " that " for 101 years - we do not know how it was possible " . lol - There are so many Doctors that do not believe me and think I make up the bad side effects just - hmmm - to get attention? Imagine them? I don't know - but their Book says this and I do that - what can I say? Megwin On Jun 24, 2007, at 11:58 AM, Roni Molin wrote: > I know what you mean.
