Guest guest
Hi Dyana, I just read your post and will respond. I don't have time now. If you don't mind, may I write your email? Let me know. You can write to mine. Barbara dyana <dyana123_2000@...> wrote: --- Thanks for responding. BCBS cancelled coverage because they say I am too high risk, and that anyone with a back this bad is considered Pre-existing. Initially they paid for me to have facet injections, then found out I had gone to a chiropractor a few months before (my agent told me they wouldn't say anything. Cost with doctors was just under $7,000.00 then demanded it be paid back so I got stuck with the bills. I fought with them till the end and basically they called me a liar. They gave me some brochures for high risk insurance which I can not afford now since I am paying these bills. I take no medication, doctor won't give me any till he sees me again which I can't afford either. I'm not overweightI weigh 105 so that is not the problem. Some is genetic but most of it is just plain HARD WORK. I work at a sign shop so I don't sit all the time. Enough whining. I am going to be forced into going On SSD I know that. But I need to work for a few longer to pay off bills. I was told yhat you have to be unemployed for 12 months to even qualify. I am gonna call the Chiro that I went to and ask if there is anything he can do to take a fraction of the pain away. Thanks for letting me vent. How is your back? Tell me about yours. Guest guest
Dyana, I am so sorry to hear about your battles with your insurance. But there is a way you can get meds that might help a little. There is a program called Patient Assistance Programs. This is the Pharmacia companies that do this and if you qualify then they will send you a months supply a month at a time. Would sure help if you are needing something. I used it for 2 yrs until my Medicare kicked in. Dee & SD CGC Winfield, KS Barbara-Thanks >I take no medication, doctor won't give me any till he sees me again which >I can't afford > either.
