It started at the spine area, ran along my butt, down the outside of my hip, the side of my leg, pretty much stayed on the outside of my left leg, then at the knee, came a little around to the front to the muscle that runs the length of your shin bone. When you lift your toes up, that is the muscle that is affected by that nerve. Have you have PT? My PT was actually more help in explaining what muscles went to what nerve than my OS was. He was more willing to answer my questions as well. The Neuro tole me that the numbness that I now have in that shin muscle is probably permanent and is from the OS having my nerve pushed over to the side too long while he did the surgery. And the OS bragged to be about how many of those surgeries he had done and I was the first one to EVER have a problem! > I also have pain across the sit bones (lower butt/tie in to hamstrings). >>> OK.....so what nerve operates the hamstrings??? Ms ???????? I'd say that you DO have some nerve being pinched in the very low S area. Don't ask me WHY I say that...things fall out of my mouth like this......not something I can explain. I'll tell you all a story one day about a woman that came to my shop and I predicted when her hubby would pass over. Ask me about my new MSM lotion for aches/pains! http://www.scentsappeal.net
