Guest guest
Hello, my name is . I live in houston tx and have been in pain for quite some time. I have been diagonosed with RA and have a 2 herniated discs in my lumbar region as well as sciatica. I have been going to the same doctor for the last 4 years who has been treating me for these things, but unfortunally she just reciently moved. She refered me to a doctor that just was a compleat jerk. He didn't listen to me at all, he treated me like i was an idiot, he switched my medications, and when i asked him what he was prescribing me he just told me the names of them and that was it, he didn't explain what they were (or side effect),and he obviouly didn't look at my medical records or the questionare that i filled out because he prescribed me a med that had a drug in it that i was allerigic to!!! It was a horrible experience. So i have been in pain for 2 weeks now and i am very uneasy about just going to any doctor. So, if anyone is in the houston area, and knows of a good doctor, let me know please. I am also looking for a good PT. Neways, i am really looking forward to future communicating with other members of this group. Its good to know that i am not alone and that someone else has been where i am. I hope eveyone has a great evening. Thanks~

Guest guest
, Wow, it is really hard to lose a good dr. Houston is a big city – do they do a “best of Houston” ? That is how I found the orthoped that did all the testing etc and tho he finally transferred me to Pain management, felt that he was doing a good job and listening etc – he was voted “best” of Delaware for Orthopedics. Everywhere I go now, and someone says – oh, yeah I had pain or my neighbor saw this guy…etc I WRITE it down. I am building a list cause I need to keep going til I get a diagnosis. If you see someone for RA – maybe you could call a senior center or something like that and see if they can give you a referral. JP Hello all, new to this group! Hello, my name is .
