Guest guest
Rich: So glad to know it's not just me. Will take your words to heart. Thanks so much. Raiders used to be in L.A. so I still have a soft spot for them (even if ole Al turned traitor lol). Happy New Year to you too. Thanks again. Guest guest
Robin.....Birdie, You get a copy of every post as does anyone that signed up to receive mail when signing up for the group. Believe me when I say that I get every one as well, and unfortunately I end up deleting more then I read and that probably isn't good for the pain in the neck that I have. Reading them all is also a pain in the neck...I just can't win! You may want to adjust your options in the group. It may take unsubscribing and then resubscribing. I wish that I could make time to read them all (especially all the " sex talk " , that seemed like fun. well you all know what I mean. What you might want to do is save the emails that you are involved in and then respond only to the ones that are RE: of those. Just a thought. Anyway...one NJ team gone now for the other one...the one in green needs to go down. It'll be hard to root for the Raiders..... But I digress....Happy New Year All Take care, Rich AKA OneGreyAlien 8o) Real Zone face lol > Ok, I adore you all and treasure being a part of this support group > more than you know but I have a little problem....... > > Hi my name is Robin and I'm a people pleaser. Guest guest
Goto the newsgroup webpage and select edit membership. Next click on no emails then hit save changes. This will prevent you from getting emails sent to you. You will then have to browse through all the messages on the site instead. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Hi Robin, I responded to another post of yours thinking you overlooked this one. Sorry I take back any sarcasm meant for humor and replace it with a warm gentle hug. If you choose no emails you will still receive emails just not all the messages from the group. Also group members can still privately email you as well. Hope this helps. -Nick > > In a message dated 1/5/03 7:09:08 PM, no_reply writes: > > << Ciao, Nick >> > > Nick: > Thanks so much. Guest guest
> quit cc:ing me on all of your emails if they do not need to go to me PLEASE. < If I understand how the list email works correctly...when you hit reply, your email goes to the list address, which is read by all. It is an automatic thing! To send it to just one person, you have to already have their private email address in your file, or cut and paste it from the original email. While, like you, I have seen some emails that should have gone privately...the majority of emails are supportive and educational. While they may not pertain to my back problem specifically, it is a great way to understand other people's problems, learn, and to provide support. I have a lower back problem and if someone needed to vent because of their neck...I would be there for them with a cyber hug instead of saying that it doesn't concern me. Just another way to look at things!

As a recovering sardonic princess I always appreciate a good sarcastic quip. In all sincerity I do appreciate your kind, heartfelt words, Nick. I always appreciate your humor too. Haven't decided what to do yet, but am so glad I've gained you as a support buddy and hopefully as a friend. xxoxoxooxoxox Robin

I may be wrong, but the 204 emails seemed to come pretty spaced out...not 75% in 2 days. >> Yes, I'm a fairly bright person and I know what mail I do and do not receive at this screen name. Also, I learned to count very early on in life and I do it very well. I have something on my computer which tells me in exact numbers how many emails I have at which screen names. Also, while I read your last email I must say that I was extremely offended. I not only didn't appreciate your words; a condescending lesson about learning and compassion, after I had asked for advice merely on how to cut down on the NUMBER of emails I was receiving after reading intimate emails between people who had, seemingly, been in the middle of a conversation, NOT that I was uninterested in other's pain or body parts that differed from my own!!!!!!!!! Guest guest
>Ok, I adore you all and treasure being a part of this support group >more than you know but I have a little problem.......>> Hi Robin, I'm CC'ing this to your email addy so you won't miss it I sent a note about it the other day, but you might have missed it. On all of the email lists such as this one, everyone gets every message that is sent to the list. There are 3 options: Single email delivery (which is what you have) Digest version (which is approximately 25 emails squished into one big email) or No Mail which means you will get no mail at all delivered to your mail box, but your able to go to www. and check your messages from there. We understand hun that your not being mean, good grief! None of us are going to be mad at you...we all have a limited amount of time that we are able to set at the puter and read. I would suggest that you try digest at first....tho like I said, most folks aren't aware of how aggravating it is to have to wade thru the excess junk that puts on every single message. I'll try to quit responding to every email as well to cut down on emails for ya If you have any questions on how to go about this changing to digest thing, please just email me K? {{{{{HUGS}}}}} Ask me about my new MSM lotion for aches/pains! http://www.scentsappeal.net
Guest guest
> I not only didn't appreciate your words; < My first reaction was " excuse the f out of me " ...but then I thought...you don't know about me and I don't know about you...how much or how little pain we are having...or how much or little pain meds we are taking...or what other life stressors we may be having. So..I am sorry my email made you feel that way. It was not intended to do so.
