As long as your medicines are in the original prescription bottles

with your name on it, there shouldn't be a problem with it at all.

Don't forget your ID, though!

I think you could mail them to your destination if you think it

looks bad. (isn't is sad that we are most afraid of what others

think?) anyway, you can always go to your pharmacy and they can

supply you with extra bottles with your labels on them.

I hope you get the needed vacation, even though there's work

involved. We all need a break from time to time and I'm sure you

deserve it.

I haven't had a problem in the past, putting my meds in a week-sized

organizer... have the rules changed in the last year or so? I'm on, like,

15 chronic meds, and that's going to take up a bunch of space in my

carry-on! (I always carry my meds with me... don't want to lose *them*!)

I don't know what the laws are but I was warned by a friend of mine

who works with the police, that if I didnt have my original bottle

with me and I was pulled over in my car and they searched my purse,

I could be in big trouble. I used to carry spare meds in a

decorative tin so I wouldn't have to carry the big bottles around.

Then, I went to my pharmacy and they gave me copies of my bottles,

but in smaller sizes with the correct label. It is a hassle, but I

feel safer only having a few with me than risking losing the whole

bottle...or being searched for drugs in front of my kids. Some

things aren't worth that risk. It stinks that we have to worry over

it, but it is a risk.

I hope I haven't made you paranoid, it's just what i've been told.

Thanks for passing that on!

Most of my meds probably aren't going to even raie eyebrows... who cares

about my diabetes meds, ya know? But this week's doc has put me on

morphine, and I'm probably going to have to treat that differently.
