Guest guest
hello, why did you come off the pills if you are in so much pain? I am on pain pills too. I an 6 mos. post op for a lumbar spinal fusion. I want to come off these things but I am not ready to face what you are facing now. Did you have any withdrawls from coming off the pills? Guest guest
I am in no withdrawal except for the intensified pain. I was on Hydrocodone, 3-6 of them a day. I feel no signs of withdrawal.
I have just changed to a " pain management " Doc. he wants me to stop the drugs and get a nerve block, AKA spinal injections. I am not sure at this point. I said " lets do it " but if I have to continue like this I am not into it.
I know one way out and I think about it more and more...like now. Guest guest
I went to a pain management doctor beforemy surgery who gave me the pain meds and then did the spinal injections. You tell the doctor what you want, not the other way around. You can not trust doctors to fix you. YOu have to be your own doctor these days cause all they want is the money. What is the one way out you are talking about? My suggestion. Call your doc and get the pain meds back until you get the injections. Then see if that works first before you decide to come off the pills again. Guest guest
Hi thank you to all for answering to my post. I have not seen a pain doc is this something I should ask my doc about? So far they are not taking away any of my pills just ajusting doses so that they work better. I know that if I stop taking them now it will be worse but do not want to take them forever.
Thank You
Wolf
Guest guest
Wolf- I am almost 3-months post-op on my 3rd spinal fusion in a year & a half. Do I know what you are going through...my guess would be yes. This has been one of, if not, the hardest things I have had to do in my life! Would not wish it on anyone...although...there are times when I wish those who haven't gone through something like this could understand why we don't feel the way they think we should...tuff one to explain. Anyway, I too am in California. What part of the state are you in? If you don't mind saying.
Due to the holiday, will keep this short, but you are not crazy, and there are others who, too, have had to, and are going through this.
If you like could share more, but hang in there, you will never bew like before, but you can come out of this with more than you think! -reppo

Guest guest
I wish I could go and massaage you with myloflex its a cream that helps the pain try taking vitamin B-12, 1,000mg alone one time a day for 3 weeks then off one week and back and forth till you feel better and vitamin C ...the vit B-12 helps the nerve roots, muscles and nervoous system, the vitamin C helps the bone, you could also try the chronic back pain support group I wish you luck I know for fact how bad back pain is let me know how it goes you have to get off one week cause your body turns immune to vitamin B-12 alone not combine with notting else and I will pray that the lord will give you endurance to go threw this....cause back pain m-m-m- been there also, oh, and think happy thoughts if you get upset it gets worse and cold weather also
