Guest guest
i cant really take ibuprofen; in the marine corps they gave it to us for everything, and it was the 800 mg now it desnt work for anything. maybe switching your meds might help; i would suggest it to your doctor, or even better get him to suggest it. good luck, and take care rob <html><div>No greater burden can be borne by an individual than to know no one cares or understands. </div></html> >From: JenieGirl <jeniegirl27@...> >Reply-neck pain >Jenie <jeniegirl27@...> >Subject: Continuous lower back pain even with >medication >Date: Sat, 10 Jun 2006 19:28:57 -0700 (PDT) > >Hi everyone - > > I just recently wrote to you about going back to my Neurosurgeon because >of lower back pain again where I can't bend forward or arch my back. Guest guest
marsha, hopefully it is just post-surgical healing and will clear up. my bet is he will not recommend an ablation at this point. good luck!! carlene Re: Continuous lower back pain even with medication carlene, isee the doctor on friday and i will ask him lots of questions. mostly i have pain acros my lower back somewhere around the waist. and i want to know if that iss going to clear up as a result of surgery or will i need the facet joints burned again. marsha
Guest guest
The spasms isn't really my problem though, I only had that for a day and a half last week. My main problem is inflammation in the joints, etc. from my herniated discs. Guest guest
HI Jenie, Have you tried Glucoasamine(sp?) with chondroitin(sp?) or Bromalein(sp? again)? They are suppose to help with the inflammation. I am sorry to hear that you are still having problems. I hope the doc is doing what he can to help you out. Take care, Katrina :-) > > The spasms isn't really my problem though, I only had that for a day and a half last week. Guest guest
Hi Katrina - Someone else suggested those to me, and I bought them and then kept forgetting to take them. I heard they were to help lubricate the joints? My doctor is wonderful. Right now he's trying to get the inflammation down so I can be comfortable again. If that doesn't work then he suggested maybe going for another epidural which I'm dreading because of my full schedule during the week. If not, then I might just go for the surgery. Guest guest
Does he have you on any RX anti-inflam? I think that the injections help, but it sems it is only temporary in my experience. What surgery is it that would be done? > Hi Katrina - > > Someone else suggested those to me, and I bought them and then kept forgetting to take them. Guest guest
He had me on prescription strength Motrin (ibuprofrin), and now he switched me over to Naproxin. The injections that I only had were only temporary too. I just need to get rid of this inflammation I think, then maybe I'll be alright again for a while. The surgery would be a discectomy.
